| In 1942, Denier Electric is founded in Cincinnati by Howard Denier with one employee. The company is now a second generation business with more than 250 employees under the leadership of Dennis Denier who started as an electrician helper in 1963 and rose through the ranks to become President in 1974. | |
| In 1969, Denier invents the hydraulic scissors lift – proudly proclaiming it was “built by electricians”– and introduces it to the construction industry in 1970. | |
| In 1980, in anticipation of the industry moving away from traditional spec-bid construction to fast-track, design/build projects, Denier starts its own in-house engineering firm, which propels it to the forefront of design-build electrical contracting. | |
| In the early 1980’s, Denier starts its own prefabrication shop as a way to help fast-track projects. This leads to the establishment of Denier Manufacturing, a sheet metal fabrication shop, and then to the development of Rough-in Ready in 2002, a nationally marketed, UL listed prefabricated wiring system. | |
| In 1983, Denier completes wiring of the first downtown Cincinnati high-rise commercial office building – 25 stories. | |
| In 1988, Denier opens a Columbus office with full electrical, engineering, and service departments to handle a growing list of projects in the Ohio region. | |
| In 1989, Denier is the first Cincinnati electrical contractor to completely design and construct the electrical system for a downtown high rise – 34 stories. The trend continues with the next three high-rise office towers built in Cincinnati. | |
| In 2000, Denier starts its Technologies Division that specializes in structured cabling and low voltage systems. | |
